Gerald should meet with the supervisor for the upcoming rotation to ensure that logistics are being taken care of, i.e. where the resident will sit, will s/he have a private telephone line or a group phone number, where will s/he get mail, etc.

Gerald should also explain a little about the goals of the residency program, the overall goals for the resident that he and the resident have identified, the expectations of the supervisor/staff during the resident’s rotation, etc.
